D.B.K first became interested in music at a young age, listening and dancing away to classic songs like 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin and 'Three Little Birds' by Bob Marley, from there he got introduced to artists such as Ziggy Marley, Gregory Issacs and the Toots & The Maytals, to name a few.

 During his teenage years he grew his hair long, grabbed a skateboard and became a drummer in various bands over the following years gigging within the West Midlands region. It was also during these years that he first began using Logic 7 during College, after only briefly using the software he is now back working on Logic Pro X.

 At the age of 18 things really began to change.
 It was May 2007 and through mutual friends he was invited to go to the legendary weekend event, 'Drop Beats, Not Bombs' at the equally legendary 'Custard Factory', Digbeth Birmingham.
 Without even entering the event he already knew that this place would become his new home.
 The sounds rang out to him, reminding him of younger years hearing tracks such as, 'Original Nuttah - Shy FX ft. UK Apache' being blasted out in the local estates and Funfairs at the park.
 
It wasn't long before he bought his first pair of decks and batch of vinyl.
 Over the next couple of years he became a regular to venues such as the Custard Factory and the Rainbow Venues and began to do weekly B2B shows with Deadcell on DNBMidlands.com (now Globaldnb).

Unfortunately, as is often the case, work took it's toll and D.B.K drifted away from the music scene altogether. However, over the last year he has started to become more musically motivated and intends to work hard and learn as much as possible whilst still enjoying every moment.
